Account Benefits offers you the following:
- Lost card protection: which will protect you in the event that your card is lost, stolen or fraudulently used;
- Death cover: which provides for R2 000 accidental death cover if you die under the age of 40 years, or R2 000 for any cause if you die over the age of 40 (underwritten (in RSA) by Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, FSP #75);
- Account settlement: which provides for an amount up to a maximum of R2 000 to be credited to your account, for accidental death if you die under the age of 40, or for any cause if you die over the age of 40 (underwritten (in RSA) by Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, FSP #75).
The fee for Account Benefits is billed every 6 months and payment is monthly. The fee is currently R22.25.
Accounts Benefits will be suspended if your account is in arrears or is dormant.
The fee may attract interest where the payment plan attracts interest.
The Foschini Retail Group (Pty) Ltd receives commission of R0.18 each month for the death benefit and account settlement components of Account Benefits.
If you are a member of The Club, the following insurance benefits apply:
- Death cover: which provides for R2 000 cover (underwritten (in RSA) by Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, FSP #75)
- Account settlement: which provides for an amount up to a maximum of R1 500 to be credited to your account, (underwritten (in RSA) by Guardrisk Insurance Company Limited, FSP #75)
